A cooked breakfast is available for a little extra.
Dinner is available with prior notice and is served, as is breakfast, in the elegant Edwardian Dining Room. Dinner features home cooked, fresh local seasonal New Zealand produce. A Table d'hote (hosts table) 2 course dinner - main and dessert is usually offered but guests are welcome to have just one course or request a simple meal such as an omelet. Where possible however, guests are asked to email or phone ahead to request dinner and indicate if they have any favourite meals or dietary restrictions. Vegetarian and gluten free diets can be catered for with such notice.
Guests are of course welcome to drive in to the town of Blenheim for dinner where a number of good restaurants are situated. Ask Alex and Peter for recommendations.
From time to time, usually when there is a larger group in house, and the weather is friendly, a BBQ may be offered on the veranda or in the garden overlooking the vines. This can be requested ahead of time if a group of friends or a family is occupying Ugbrooke. Similarly for a larger group a buffet or Roast Dinner may be offered in the Dining Room.
Award winning local wines are available for purchase as are other beverages, however guests are welcome to BYO (wine only) with no corkage charge.
A 2 course dinner price is $38 - $40 per person.
A 'gourmet' BBQ or Roast dinner $40-$45 per person.
Fully Cooked Breakfast - $18 - $20 per person. Free range eggs available from our own happy hens!
Ugbrooke can cater for car clubs and other groups who may enjoy a day outing with a Devonshire Tea or similar. Price varies depending on numbers and what is required.
Ugbrooke is also the ideal venue for corporate workshops who may wish to utilize the 2 main rooms of the house - the Chudleigh Bar and the Marlborough Room (Dining Room) as well as the gardens for team exercises. A venue fee applies plus any catering requirements.
End of Year and other parties can be held at Ugbrooke subject to date being available.
An indoor or outdoor setting is dependent on numbers and type of event. (24 people dining in the Dining Room is the maximum number.)
Special events require clients to organise a caterer. An hourly venue fee applies.
